Learning to walk

when it comes to baby milestones, nothing can compare to a baby walking for the first time. they officially become a tiny little person instead of a baby. We are definitely not walking yet, but she is learning to walk. we get so much joy from this tiny little person. here is a video of Aspen learning how to walk @ 8 months.

I can stand up!!

Everyone told me that the first year would fly by. I can't believe how fast this little girl is growing right before our eyes! Aspen is now pulling herself up and standing. She will try and stand anywhere...on the furniture, people, toys even the dog.



Now what do I do Mom?

Spaghetti squash

Spaghetti squash is apparently one of Aspens favorite foods. The kid ate almost 3 cups of the stuff today for lunch. Granted, I found about a cup full in her bib and lap. She had a blast squishing it in her fingers and trying to figure out the best way to pick it up. When she was done, the dog got a taste too, except he wasn't a fan of the stuff.

Collection of baby yoga

a collection of baby yoga, downward dog photos. For some reason, Aspen has been doing this for a month now. she gets on all 4's and tries to walk with her feet... except she doesn't move her hands. So she ends up loosing her balance and falling over. it's really funny and she just smiles and tries again.

The little contortionist sleeper

I wonder if all babies sleep in crazy uncomfortable positions. Maybe Aspen was just a contortionist in a previous life.How can this be comfortable, let alone possible?!? Doug and I agree we were never this bendy.




Not kidding, she is fast asleep. Yes, that is her foot she is using for a pillow.




I wonder if she woke up with a sore back.




She was laughing and all smiles when I went to get her later. Wow wow wow kid... Just wow :-)

Best baby pic ever

OMG it's puke...in my picture. I was attempting to take a few pictures of Aspen today. She was bear crawling around the house and exploring. While reviewing the shots later, i came across this sequence of pictures.
