Daddy and Aspen were eating ice cream for desert. Doug asked Aspen how she liked the treat. Aspen responded:

Hamilton Pumpkin Festival

We decided to go visit the Hamilton Pumpkin Festival since Doug works in Hamilton.


We had a great time + pumpkin beer= even better time for Doug. Next year I will be able to try the wine!!



Aspen had her first corndog, she loved it. Well, she loved the everything except the actual hotdog.


This kid loves any chance to pet or see real animals.


They almost have the same hair
:-)


Aspen informed multiple people the sound goats make and that they drink water.


Doug and I are trying to make the most of the last 2 months we have with only our princess. We had a great time and someone passed out 5 min into the ride home.

Big girl bed

We officially switched Aspen to her new room and big girl bed last night.


We had been hanging out in her new room lately to get her comfortable. Last night we finished attaching the furnature straps to the walls & decided it was time.
SHE DID GREAT!! She never ventured off the bed. She fussed a bit but within 15 min she was sound asleep.


This is such a big milestone for our beautiful little girl. While we are thrilled night #1 went great, it's bitter sweet. She is growing up so fast & we want to savor every minuite.


Fingers crossed that night two will go just as well.

The Purse

The past two days Aspen has not wanted to walk out the door without her purse.


Yesterday she had both her shades and her purse. Today, it was just the purse.


She is one determined little girl and I love watching her mimic what she sees.

A Toy for Daddy

Doug has dreamed of building a swing set for Aspen. The more we looked into the details, we decided to just rehab one. We were able to get our hands on a great set. Doug spent days reconstructing and fixing every part of that swing set.


All it needs now is another power wash and a new coat of stain.



Aspens new favorite thing to do is "fwing?!" (Swing)


She loves the tire "fwing" too.


But Nothing will compare to the steering wheel and the slide.





Eventually she will grow into the rest of this swing set.

In the end, I am not sure who has had more fun, Aspen or Doug.

Peek at Aspens new room

Aspens current room is the smallest of the 4 bedrooms. We made the decision to move aspen to a bigger room without nursery furnature.
Here is a sneak peek at her new room.





We still have a bunch of things that are not done yet. Everything from knobs on the furnature to picking out a desk chair still need done.


The 3 of us had a pizza party in her new room tonight to get her excited. She kindly pointed out "no boot noot" ( no book nook) in the new room. She did check out the dresser drawers and decide it looked like a good place to keep her bracelet.

She isn't thrilled with the room yet. We are hoping she will be a bit more excited when we are finished.

Baby Ulrich #2 REVEAL

As most of you know, we are expecting a new baby in December. We are thrilled Aspen is going to be a big sister. We are now officially half way at 20 weeks. The baby's due date is December 16, 2013.

We had our 20 month ultrasound today and.....we are having a healthy...


BOY!!



We feel so lucky to have a beautiful healthy daughter and in December our son will make us a family of 4.
